Eric Bachenheimer, MHSA, MBA, FACHE
Director, ED Solutions
Eric has spent over 10 years in hospital operations of large academic medical centers. He was the Administrative Director of the Emergency Department at NYU Medical Center in New York City, NY and has held several other hospital operational and financial positions at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City as well as Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke's Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois.
Eric received a Master of Health Services Administration degree from the University of Michigan and a Master of Business Administration degree from the Stern School of Business at New York University. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He is also a certified Emergency Medical Technician and has worked in EMS for nearly 15 years.
He is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), and received the Big Apple 2004 Regent's Young Healthcare Executive Award. He was awarded the Best Case Study from the ACHE in 2005 and has written articles and spoken on the topic of emergency department operations and best practices.
Some of the Eric's specific areas of focus include: ED process redesign, analytics and operational improvements, staffing and financial modeling, computer simulation, and patient satisfaction strategies.
Meghan Calichman, MPA
ED Solutions Associate
Meghan has nearly 15 years of Emergency Department administrative and technical expertise. Previously, she was the Corporate Director of Emergency Services for Liberty Health Care, a multi-hospital system in New Jersey where she was responsible for working with physician and nurse leadership to enhance the quality of patient care, customer satisfaction and ensure cost effectiveness.
Previously she led the Information Services and Technology department at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark, NJ and was the administrator for the Ambulatory Care and Community Services departments. Meghan was also the Business Coordinator for the Emergency Department at Morristown Memorial Hospital in Morristown, NJ.
Meghan received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Columbia University in New York City, NY and her Master of Public Administration from the Wagner School of Public Service at New York University in New York City, NY.
Meghan's focal areas include: ED information technology and systems, operations, planning, finance and patient satisfaction.
Dale Geyer, RN
ED Solutions Associate
Dale Geyer, RN brings experience in Emergency Department nurse management and leadership. For over 35 years, Dale has been active both locally and regionally in the field of emergency nursing. She has extensive experience lecturing on a wide variety of clinical, operational and patient satisfaction topics and is well-versed in root cause analysis. She is a past president of New Jersey Emergency Nursing Association.
Starting as an emergency department nurse, Dale's prior roles have included nurse manager and nursing director. Most recently, she was the Nurse Director of the Emergency Department at St. Joseph's - Wayne Hospital in Wayne, NJ.
Dale's focal areas include: clinical ED nursing practice, Joint Commission preparation, EDIS selection and implementation, physician/nurse collaborative practice, and nurse manager coaching/mentoring.
Janet McGeehan, RN
ED Solutions Associate
Janet has over 20 years of nursing experience, having held numerous ED nurse managerial roles throughout her career. Prior to joining the team, Janet worked as a consultant who conducted assessments of emergency departments across the United States. In the past, she was the Nurse Manager for the Emergency Department at Ocean Medical Center in Brick, NJ and the Point Pleasant division of the Meridian Healthcare System in Point Pleasant, NJ.
In 2003, Janet received the Elizabeth Kellogg Award for Nursing Excellence- Leadership in 2003.
Janet received her nursing degree from Ann May School of Nursing in Neptune NJ and currently maintains her RN licensure in the State of NJ. She is also a member of the Emergency Nurses Association (ENA), National Association for Healthcare Quality and American Society for Healthcare Risk Management. Janet formerly served on the Ocean County Board of Health and Point Pleasant Township Board of Health in New Jersey.
Janet's areas of focus include: ED nurse management and mentoring, clinical policy development, patient throughput and grant writing.
Ellen Dittus
Senior Operations Analyst
As the Senior Operations Analyst, Ellen provides analytical and technical support to gain greater insight into understanding key trends that affect ED performance. She has 12 years of experience as an analyst in the healthcare field, with provider side experience, having worked at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville, NJ as an analyst.
